Kay and Daryl Hartzler -
Daryl was born, raised and has always lived in the Lakewood area. Kay was born and raised in Kalamazoo and has lived in Lake Odessa since 1977. Both were in education for many years and also operated Hartzlers' Charters and Tours, Inc. for 27 years. In 2012 the Hartzlers connected with Patti once again and learned that Freshwater Properties was for sale. After some discussion it was decided to become partners and purchase Freshwater Properties. The Hartzlers feel it is an honor to be a part of Freshwater with Patti and the growing number of quality people, who are joining Freshwater, as it covers an enlarging area and has an increasing number of satisfied clients.
Patti Cook is the Broker and joint founder of Freshwater Properties.
Patti has been a lifelong resident of the Lakewood community and enjoys living and working in Lake Odessa! She has a passion for volunteering and assisting with community events. Patti is a member of the Lake Odessa Wellhead Protection Team. Patti’s uplifting attitude helps her team and clients bring their own positive energy into each unique experience. She is dedicated to working toward her team and clients’ best interests, giving them reassurance and faith that together they can (and will) overcome any and all challenges. The agency, Freshwater Properties, was established in 2008 and is a premier Real Estate company that is embedded in the quaint town of Lake Odessa. Freshwater Properties services Michigan, lake-shore to lake-shore, specializing in lakefront property. Patti leads a team of six outstanding agents that share the same passion for Real Estate.

Patti received her Real Estate license in 2002, then went on to acquire her Broker’s license in 2012 from Holloway’s Real Estate Institute in Lansing. She completed the Master of Brokerage Principles in 2018, administered by the Greater Regional Alliance of Realtors in Grand Rapids, where she is a member.
Tawni Makley, a member of the Freshwater Properties team, brings boundless enthusiasm and energy to her role. She possesses an innate understanding and a keen awareness of people's needs and concerns during the Real Estate process. It is evident that Tawni loves her profession! She is trustworthy, well organized and is passionate about putting her clients first.
Tawni grew up in Woodland and graduated from Lakewood high school. She continues to reside in the Lakewood school district and has extensive knowledge in the community. Her deep roots date back to the early 19th century!
Tawni received her real estate license from Holloway's Real Estate Institute in Lansing, Michigan. She is a member of the Greater Regional Alliance of Realtors as well as the National Association of Realtors.
Tawni has developed a strong customer base already and her early success only solidifies her great future in the business. Her aspiration is to make Real Estate her lifelong ambition!
Valeri Neeb began her exciting journey in Real Estate with Freshwater Properties in 2015. She believes that the formula for success is honesty, professionalism and a devoted commitment. Valeri resides in Lake Odessa with her husband Craig and their daughter Natalie. Among her numerous community involvements, Valeri is a Girl Scout leader and Service Unit Director for Lakewood. She also holds a board position as Secretary on the Lakewood Elementary PTO, and she is serving her first term as Board of Directors for the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce.
Valeri received her Realtor license through Holloways Real EstateInstitute of Lansing. She is a member of the Greater Regional Alliance of Realtors (GRAR) as well as the National Association of Realtor's (NAR).
Jeremiah Keeler joined Freshwater Properties in 2018. He was raised in Saranac, MI and is a 2005 graduate of Saranac High School. He now resides in Gaines Township, MI (just south of Grand Rapids) with his wife and two children.
He is the sixth generation of his family dating back to the late 1840’s to be raised in real estate. Having much experience with the business, Jeremiah has a strong desire to fulfill his passion of serving individuals and families as they pursue the dream of homeownership.

Jeremiah received his real estate license through Holloway Institute of Real Estate in 2018 and he is a member of the Greater Regional Alliance of Realtors. He is also a member of the Michigan Association of Realtors as well as the National Association of Realtors.
Shane Bronson has been in the Real Estate business for over 20 years as a Realtor, Broker, Owner, Trainer, and Relocation Expert. In his last position he was responsible for the growth of Corporate Relocation at a large broker in Grand Rapids where he grew the business for over 10 years. He is also a certified real estate trainer with the State of Michigan and has trained thousands of agents on best practices in relocation and on growing their businesses beyond just helping buyers and sellers in the market they cover. Shane is also heavily involved with the Relocation Directors Council, and Employee Relocation Council, which are national networks designed to grow corporate relocation business with Real Estate companies.
Aly Wieland is committed to treating her buyers and sellers exactly how she would like to be treated when buying and/or selling their property. She is a “go-getter”, enthusiastic and incredibly pro-active. Buying and selling Real Estate is one of the biggest financial transactions that most people will have in their lifetime.

Aly grew up in Spring Lake and graduated from Spring Lake High School in 2007. She went on to graduate from Western Michigan University in 2011 with a Bachelors in Science, majoring in Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial Organization, as well as minoring in General Business. Aly obtained her Resident & Solicitors Insurance License and has maintained it since 2016. She comes to Freshwater Properties with a background in the insurance industry.
Aly received her Realtors License from Holloway’s Real Estate Institute of Lansing in 2019. Since then, she has become a member of the Greater Regional Alliance of Realtors (GRAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
Aly resides on Morrison Lake with her husband, three sons and two dogs.
Racheal and her husband are life-long residents of Lake Odessa! They raised their three children here and now two of them are raising their families within the Lakewood Community as well. Their youngest and her family reside in Alabama.

Racheal received her Real Estate license from The Holloway Institute in 2019. She holds an Associates of Applied Science. Racheal is also a member of the GRAR and NAR.
